I have been involved in the travel industry since 1979 and I could not imagine putting my time and effort into anything else. I am greatly appreciative of all of the opportunities this career has given me to make many of my dream come true, to see the world.
Primarily, I started as a ticket delivery person and was quickly promoted to the manager position after 1 year. My career took me to Washington D.C. for 2 years which allowed me to open 3 new branch offices.
In 1984, I moved back to my home town of Dallas, Texas where I continued working as manager in the corporate headquarters/24 hour reservation center in charge of 13 different branches.
Even though I was busy working, I got married and had a daughter. Due to my busy schedule, I worked part-time at another agency for 5 years and then took over a full-time job at another agency for 21 years. All of my experience over the previous 30 years allowed me to start working as an independent agent for Travel Experts in April of 2014.
Making my move to Travel Experts has been the best thing I could have ever done. I love being an independent agent, it allows me time to enjoy more travel opportunities, having more time for myself, and expanding my horizons by organizing retreats for my fellow yogis to show them some of my favorite places around the world. I was able to complete my bucket last year by traveling to every continent except Antarctica.. I am now working on my new bucket list.
