My passion for travel began 20 years ago with a college study abroad program in Madrid. After living in Spain for 6 months, I knew I had to see the world! Since then, my adventures have taken me to amazing destinations throughout the globe and each time I visit somewhere new, I fall in love. I have introduced my own children to the thrill of travel and am excited to collaborate with you and your family to do the same!
Recently I visited Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley in Peru. Words do not do this magical place justice - you have to see it in person to understand its magnificence. It was raining when we arrived at the site and when the clouds cleared we had the most breathtaking views of the Incan treasure. I have also explored two of my favorites islands in the Caribbean - Turks & Caicos and Anguilla. The soft white sand beaches of Turks & Caicos were wide and virtually unoccupied during my trip. The water in Anguilla is a gorgeous shade of turquoise and the island is known for great food: my husband and I had a fabulous meal in a treehouse there! Nevis is also a great place to unplug and unwind; get ready to explore untouched beaches and keep your eyes out for the monkeys wandering the island! Another Caribbean favorite of mine is the Cayman Islands. It is a must see due to the crystal clear and calm ocean, incredible restaurants (my daughter got to grate her own wasabi here! the island has a Food and Wine Festival each year!) and multitude of family activities (dancing with dolphins? check! scuba diving at night? check!). In Cabo San Lucas, I saw whales up close, watched fireworks over the Pacific and took a tequila tasting class. In Punta Mita I ate the most delicious and fresh ceviche which was made poolside, of course. In the Riviera Maya I became friends with the resident alligator that lived underneath our lagoon suite and experienced an amazing(and fragrant!) tequila massage in a treatment room facing a lush mangrove.
