Becky Craft

As a former marketing and public relations professional, I helped local, regional and national companies achieve their goals. So it was important to me that I offered my clients a distinctive approach to realizing their travel goals when I formed my own travel company over 20 years ago.

The simple solution was to share a philosophy and style I followed when designing my own travels: to engage with other cultures and peoples in ways that go beyond the superficial, to seek out experiences that bring new meaning and dimension, and to never stop learning or having fun!

Unique Journeys for Curious Travelers is not just my slogan -it is a pledge to you. To collaborate with you to create meaningful, hand crafted experiences for a weekend away or a trip of a lifetime. My passion for travel, first-hand insights and personal contacts developed over decades ensure your satisfaction.

I also enjoy connecting people with similar interests via custom small group adventures that I annually lead to worldwide destinations. Whether it's tasting high altitude wines in Argentina's Salta region, tracking leopards on safari in South Africa, seeing the opera Turandot performed on its original site in the Forbidden City or walking through private English gardens with a leading horticultural expert, these exclusive journeys for 10-15 people are intimate, flexible and popular for solo travelers, couples or families alike.

Let me add that special appeal (a little something extra - as we say in Louisiana) to your next adventure!

  • The view from my favorite tropical boutique retreat. With only 5 guest cottages, I'm trying to keep it a secret!
  • On safari in South Africa with my husband Michael. Singita's Boulders and Ebony Lodge are fabulous!
  • A river cruise on Aqua Expeditions in the Peruvian Amazon is a must for nature lovers
  • The view from my hotel in Cafayete, Argentina located in the high altitude Salta region
  • You can never have enough pictures of leopards in the wild (Lion Sands Ivory Lodge, Sabi Sands, South Africa)
  • A meeting I planned for a state engineers association allowed me to see work in progress to widen the Panama Canal
  • Guide, Kuenley Dorjee (on my left), made our custom two-week trip to Bhutan a very special experience
  • Petra's famous Treasury building is reached by walking down a long, winding canyon path
  • A journey to northern Vietnam was an opportunity to meet with members of the various hllltribe peoples (me with Red Dao women)
  • In Burgundy's famous vineyard's (wine travel is my specialty) with Burgundy expert, author and Master of Wine, Clive Coates

Cote d'Azure, France
Attending the International Luxury Travel Mart in Cannes, France two years in a row gave me the opportunity to explore off the beaten track places for my clients, sample great local restaurants, and drive a vintage 1954 Triumph in a rally from Mougins to Antibes.

What's not to like about a country that measures worth by "Gross National Happiness?" Love this isolated kingdom's pristine beauty, colorful festivals and iconic hike to Tigers Nest. Adventure seekers on my custom trip praised the quality of the food, and better wifi than in some US places!

South Africa
South Africa can be enjoyed more than once-in-a-lifetime, priced similar to a cruise and accomplished in a two-week timeframe -- all in luxury and style. This was my fourth year in a row to show those with me how it's done.

How exciting to don a hard-hat and with the chief engineer, visit construction in progress to widen the Panama Canal. Panama City is poised for growth and Casco Viejo (old quarter) boasts stylish boutique hotels. My favorite new escape is El Otro Lado, a private island retreat off historic Portobello.

Florence, Italy
Florence is a city I navigate like a local, and should as often as I visit! Late fall is when the new olive oils arrive and menus feature artichokes, truffles, kale and squashes. Try a room with a view at Il Salviatino in the Fiesole hillside.

My gardening expertise consisted of stopping to smell the roses, so Virtuoso On-site, Noteworthy Group, helped me create a horticultural extravaganza for my clients via visits to Chelsea Flower Show, Highgrove, private gardens, icons like Sissinghurst and cocktails in the gardens of Bowood with the Marquis and Marchioness of Lansdowne.
